Background: Effective treatments that support tobacco cessation, including both behavioral therapies and FDA-approved pharmacotherapies include various forms of nicotine replacement therapy as well as bupropion and varenicline. Research indicates that smokers who receive a combination of behavioral treatment and cessation medications quit at higher rates than those who receive minimal intervention. So, in the current study a Holistic integrated method is used as intervention.
Method: A holistic integrated therapy combining a herbal formulation, CBT, Behavior modification, Mindfulness meditation, Relaxation Therapies-Yoga, Pranayama, JPMR
Result: Holistic Integrated Intervention therapy found to be more effective in management of tobacco dependence.
Conclusion: Holistic integrated therapy is highly effective therapy in tobacco cessation.
