Abstract

In fact, a psychiatrist is far from the essence of suicidality of a particular patient, which is explained solely by a violation of the metabolism of both the brain and the body as a whole. The psychiatric  state of a person is  described by the following  terms -  happiness- laziness-unhappiness- depression- suicide (suicide attempt). These conditions can be consistent elements of the pathophysiology of suicide. They reflect a consistent state of personality, which have commonality in terms of the influence of the metabolic components of the human body. An analysis of the relevant scientific literature revealed that:

What will the audience take away from presentation?

• The audience of listeners will be informed about the latest achievements in the field of disorders of brain metabolism in patients diagnosed with suicidal behavior and suicide (suicide attempt).

• Non-invasive technologies for the diagnosis of brain pathology in suicides such as MRI, fMRI and DWI, which allow to determine the localization of pathology in vivo, will be highlighted.

• The information provided will increase the effectiveness of the work of practitioners. The materials will increase the level of scientific research and can be included in the teaching process at medical faculties. In general, this material will make it possible to transfer the supervision of patients with diagnoses of ICD 10 X60–X84 from the level of verbal communication and subjective diagnosis to an objective, instrumental level.
