Biography

Dr. Ammar Shahtou is a psychiatry resident at ERADAH Complex Mental Health, Najran, Saudi Arabia. He holds an MBBS from Mansoura University, Egypt, and has over 14 years of postgraduate  service in psychiatry across Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and is pursuing the MRCPsych and the International Diploma in Old Age Psychiatry through the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych). His research focuses on psychiatric comorbidity, substance use disorders, and mental health in vulnerable and conflict-affected populations.

Psychiatric comorbidity; substance use disorders; addiction psychiatry; mental health in refugees and conflict-affected populations; old age psychiatry; network psychopathology.
