Biography

Daniel Taylor, DO is a first-year psychiatry resident at New York Medical College / St. Mary’s St. Clare’s. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. His clinical interests include addiction psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, and general adult psychiatry. He plans to pursue fellowship training in addiction psychiatry and is interested in the clinical and forensic implications of unregulated psychoactive substances.

Research Interests:

• Forensic and medicolegal considerations of novel psychoactive substances
• Withdrawal syndromes and psychiatric complications of unregulated herbal and botanical products
• Intersection of substance use disorders and the criminal justice system
• Pharmacotherapy development in addiction psychiatry
