Biography

Nivedita Patkar is a Ph.D. student in the School of Health Professions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), USA. She has over two decades of experience managing international clinical trials and leading public health initiatives focused on chronic diseases through enhanced community engagement and local policy development. Her interests include leveraging health informatics to promote cost-effective healthcare, particularly in the area of substance use disorders. She holds MD (Internal Medicine) and LL.B. from the University of Mumbai with master’s degrees in Public Health, Health Informatics, and Health Administration Research and has co-authored more than 33 publications.
