Dr. Peggy Shaughnessy is the Founder and Director of Care at RedPath Wellness Centre in Ontario, Canada. She works at the intersection of trauma, addiction, and justice involvement, supporting individuals navigating psychiatric distress, housing instability, and repeated system contact. Her practice emphasizes structured recovery programming, relationship-based accountability, and reintegration supports that move people from crisis to recovery to wellness. Dr. Shaughnessy completed her doctorate examining how colonial and legal systems regulate Indigenous masculinities, deepen criminalization, and restrict opportunities for Indigenous men to heal. Her work bridges frontline care, program development, and systems advocacy.
