Biography

Refilwe Precious Jeremiah, MSW, Ph.D., is currently a senior lecturer with the University of Botswana, Social Work Department. She is a highly dedicated and results-oriented Clinical Social Worker and Social Protection Specialist with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating social welfare programs, leveraging advanced social work skills, education, and research. Dr. Jeremiah has proven expertise in addressing complex social issues, including alcohol abuse and addictions, social protection, mental health issues, particularly for vulnerable populations, poverty reduction, child protection, disability inclusion, and gender equality. Her research interests are thus alcohol abuse and addictions.
