Biography

Smitha is a Researcher specializing in high-functioning resilience and the longitudinal study of complex family systems. Her work focuses on using standardized psychometric batteries to track the divergence in offspring affected by familial psychiatric history. An advocate for the "Disabled, Not Disposable" movement, they focus on stigma reduction and functional recovery. In NCERT, New Delhi, India she has worked in Guidance and Counselling Department; in Indian Oil her work has included TNA. Her Pre-PhD thesis was on Social-Psychology of Cardiology patients; her recent work have focused also on Menstrual Hygiene in the sustainable context.

Research interests: Familial Psychiatric Risk (Z81.8); Sibling Divergence; Neurobiology of Resilience; Dystonia-Psychosis Correlations; Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care; Phased Psychometric Assessment (2004– 2025). Her other works have included Imperative role in Disaster Preparedness, Management and Mitigation with Psychology.
